This is a very special wine of the Denomination of Origin Montsant. Made with grapes from emblematic local vineyards with personality closely linked to the winemaking history of the DO. It is complex due to the combination of the flavours extracted from grapes and wood.

Generic characteristics: A dry red wine, complex due to the combination of aromas originating from the grape and the wood.

Type of soil: Meteorised primary granite.

Pairings: A well-structured wine, meaty, velvety, full-bodied and mature. It requires hearty dishes that complement its voluptuous nature. It combines well with all types of game meats, stewed beef and complex sauces. Perfect for accompanying snails. Strong, firm-bodied fish like tuna. Blue and cured cheeses. Also bitter chocolate.
Most recommended cooking methods: dishes with sauces, stews. Batter-coated foods. Perfect for very spicy and peppery dishes.

Varieties of grapes: Black grenache, carignan wine, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot wine and Tempranillo grapes.

Each grape variety is fermented separately. The maceration is long and a temperature of 26ºC is made. Afterwards, the malolactic fermentation is carried out. Once finished, the coupage is made and it is aged in French and American oak barrels. Approximately one year later, it is bottled to age between 4 6 months.

Serving temperature: Between 16 and 18ºC
