
Battered goat Cheese with caramelized nuts and fig confiture or peach jam
INGREDIENTS
Toasted bread
Priorat Natur fig confiture or peach jam
Goat cheese roller
Caramelized hazelnuts or caramelized almonds
Caramelized walnuts
PREPARATION METHOD
1 Crush the caramelized almonds and hazelnuts into small pieces using either a mincer or a mortar.
2 Cut a slice of the goat cheese roller.
3 Cover the goat cheese with the crushed almonds and hazelnuts, this way, the small pieces of caramelized nuts stick to the cheese (hence de name of “battered goat cheese”).
4 Put some jam over this piece of cheese. You can use either fig preserve or peach jam; both will make this dish delicious!!
5 Put a piece of caramelized walnut over the cheese to give a better final touch. Now it is ready to serve and enjoy!
As you can see in the attached picture, this “tapa” can be served in a “catering-like” spoon or over a small toast of bread.
